Description: Dutch, circa 1675. Walnut. A charming pair of chairs with exceptional bases. The thick and thin turnings of the legs are the epitome of the baroque style. Ball and trumpet turned legs united by wavy cross stretchers with finial and fifth foot at the cross. Old, but attractive and serviceable upholstery. Minor reinforcements to underside of seat.
