Description: Circa 1840
The hilt comprising of four pieces of jade riveted to the tang of a steel re-curved tapering blade, decorated in gold koftgari work. The wooden scabbard is wrapped in velvet, and then mounted in a pierced steel case, with birds sitting within foliage and decorated en suite to the blade, in gold koftgari work.
