Description: Late period, ca. 700 to 30 BC
Squared section of light colored limestone showing a full figure of the striding Osiris at left. He wears the crown of Upper Egypt, a knee-length kilt and extends his graceful hands towards Isis at right. She wields a thin staff and wears a sun disc crown. One leg and left arm are obliterated. Background shows a grid pattern from which to follow the strict cannon of proportion famous in Egyptian art. Intact for the fragment it is.
