Expertise: The ship was sailing from Trinidad to Philadelphia when she was sunk off Cape Antonio (Cuba) in February 1856. Cape Antonio was an area which saw heavy pirate activity during the 18th and early 19th century. Many ships were seized, their crews killed or sold and the ships sunk. This may have been the fate of the Charles H. Frost.
